Toggle Comment shortcut does not work correctly with Belgian AZERTY keyboard

Hi Garry,

I noticed that the Toggle Comment shortcut is shown as Ctrl + ".

On my Belgian AZERTY keyboard under Windows 11, " requires a different key/modifier combination, and the corresponding combination involves AltGr and produces #. As a result, the advertised Toggle Comment shortcut doesn't map correctly to my keyboard layout.

It looks as though the shortcut may be based on the QWERTY key layout rather than the active Windows keyboard layout.

Could you please have a look at this?

Hi Chris,

Thanks for reporting this. You were right that the displayed shortcut did not reflect the active Windows keyboard layout.

I’ve fixed this by making the Toggle Comment menu entry display the character Windows assigns to the existing shortcut key. On Belgian AZERTY, it should now show Ctrl+².

The shortcut itself has not been reassigned, so existing QWERTY shortcuts are unaffected: US keyboards continue to use Ctrl+', while UK keyboards display Ctrl+#. Ctrl+3 also remains assigned to the Debugger, and AltGr+3 continues to type # normally.

I’ve verified the fix against Windows’ Belgian French, Belgian Comma, and Belgian Period keyboard layouts and added regression tests. It will be included in the next release. Once it is available, I’d appreciate confirmation that Ctrl+² works as expected on your physical keyboard.
