Show tooltip with name when hovering over control

Delphi has this feature that it shows you a tooltip with the name of the control when you hover with your mouse over it. I find that incredible handy when I need the names of multiple controls.
It saves clicking on the control and looking at the Inspector pane
I don't want Objo to be a Delphi clone but maybe more developers like this?

PaulS No that is in runtime. I mean in the Designer.

Do you mean when you hover over a control in the visual designer in Studio? Like, on the window or container control canvas?

Garry currently, all the controls is show the control type.. like textarea, textfield without the control name

Thanks, I understand the suggestion now. You mean a tooltip in the visual designer showing both the control’s instance name and type, for example MyThing (Canvas).

I’ve implemented this as an optional setting under Settings → Designer. It is disabled by default, but when enabled, hovering over a control placed on the designer canvas will show its name and type. It will be included in the next release: https://feedback.objo.dev/feature/1221
