I was working with an open source code base using Claude Code. I wanted to be able to create installers for deb & rpm on Linux. Claude was able to create the installers in about 3 minutes. It would be great to have deb and rpm installers for Linux Objo (which would cover about 90% of the total linux installs) . And with Claude's help not a major time hit for a release. Failing that am example objo.desktop file would be nice

The current Linux archive already contains a .desktop entry, icon and MIME metadata, but I agree that extracting an archive and configuring everything manually is not a proper installation experience.

Creating basic .deb and .rpm files is straightforward; the additional work is ensuring dependencies, upgrades, uninstalling and desktop integration all behave correctly, then incorporating the packages into the release and verification system. The plan is to provide both packages for x64 Objo Studio while retaining the existing .tar.gz as a portable fallback.

I haven’t scheduled the work yet, but it is now on the roadmap.
