Web Listbox Refresh

I am playing about with the listbox on a web page and if I populate it and then run the Refresh method of the listbox it does not seem to update to show the data. Clicking on the header does refresh. Is there something else I need to do to get listbox to display the information automatically?

I am seeing this behavior as well, but only in a specific circumstance. When I add a row to an empty ListBox it does not refresh and display the row unless I (1) reload the web page or (2) click on a header.

Adding a row (or rows) to a ListBox that already has at least one existing row in it refreshes correctly.

Unfortunately, the bug isn't showing itself when I created a small example web app to show the behavior.

I'm continuing to work on it to isolate the issue better.

Yes it appears that once its been rendered with a row then subsequent row additions display immediately. I see that when the additional rows are added a brief popup saying "The listbox view has changed".

Thanks both. This looks to be a Web ListBox bug, not something you’re doing wrong. If the ListBox has already displayed its empty state, adding the first row can leave the browser showing that empty state. Calling Refresh should update it, but currently doesn’t in this case. Clicking a header or reloading the page causes the browser to pick up the new row.

The brief “The ListBox view has changed” message is also coming from the update process; it isn’t asking you to take any action.

I’ve logged the bug here: Web ListBox does not show the first row added after opening. I'll fix it for the next release.
