Hi Ulisses, thanks for the details. Since setting BackgroundColour in code works, I’ll investigate why the Inspector change isn’t showing in the Window Designer on Windows 11.
Could you try one specific check? Type #FF0000FF directly into the Window’s BackgroundColour field, then run the project. Does red appear in the designer, the running Window, both, or neither? The final FF makes the colour fully opaque. The Inspector should also turn on HasBackgroundColour automatically; please let me know if it doesn’t.
I’ve noted the requests for Buttons, ComboBoxes and ListBoxes. The Button request already covers custom backgrounds and keeping text and symbols readable. @ebloom, your point about contrast is well taken. I’ll consider whether explicit text and symbol colours belong in that work, including how they behave when a Button is hovered over or disabled. ComboBoxes and ListBoxes need their own consideration because their selected and editable states work differently.
