Hi!

I couldn't find the BackgroundColour property on the Button control.

When I try to change the Background Color property for the Window, it doesn't work.

Could you please help me?

Hi Ulisses,

You’re right: desktop Buttons don’t currently have a BackgroundColour property. I’ve logged custom background colours for desktop Buttons. The request includes HasBackgroundColour, defaulting to False, so buttons will continue to follow the light or dark theme unless you choose a custom colour.

Could you help me narrow down the Window issue?

Which Objo Studio version and operating system are you using?
Are you setting the Window colour in the Inspector or in code? What exact colour value are you using?
Does it fail in the designer, in the running app, or both?
After setting the colour, is HasBackgroundColour True?

The Window’s default colour is transparent (#00000000), so the final two digits of a hex value matter: 00 is fully transparent and FF is opaque. As a quick check, does Me.BackgroundColour = Colour.RGB(255, 0, 0) work in the Window’s Opening event? A screenshot or small example project would also help if it still doesn’t work.

For buttons, if you set the background color (or colour) you also need to set the text and symbol colors. Otherwise its easy to end up with an unreadable button. Can this be added while you're working on the buttons?

Objo Studio 26.9.4 (Windows 11)
I'm setting the Window colour in the Inspector. It can be any color. It fails in the designer.
I tried checking and unchecking the HasBackgroundColour option.

Me.BackgroundColour = Colour.RGB(255, 0, 0) works.

It would be important to have the BackgroundColor and ForegroundColor properties in some components, such as buttons, comboboxes, and listboxes.
