I thought I recalled a recent post about barcodes, but can't find it. Maybe I confused it with the one on QR codes?
Anyway, it would be nice to be able to generate barcodes. Two ways: Onto a Graphics object for printing or PDF, and save as an image file.
I have Xojo code that creates Code 128 barcodes ... I could port it to Objo, but there might be a better way. 3 of 9 codes can be done with fonts, but then the end user needs the font installed. And I've had mis-reads with 3 of 9 - hand-held scanner actually returned incorrect data.

The proposed Objo API starts with Code 128, the format you’re already using:

Here g could be the Graphics object for a Canvas or a printed page, including one saved as a PDF. An overload would let you choose the bar width and height. Barcode.ToMemoryBlock(...) would provide PNG bytes for applications that need to write or transmit the image directly.

The barcode would be generated without an installed font, with its checksum and white scanning margins handled for you. Code 128 is the first planned format; the BarcodeFormat parameter leaves room for others later. This is the proposed API for the accepted feature, not an API available in the current release.
