Thanks for reporting this. There is a bug in the designer preview: it isn’t using the project’s translations for the Calendar’s built-in labels. I’ve logged it here on Feedback.
Setting Locale to de-DE changes date/time formatting, but translating “All day” also requires an entry in the project’s German localisation table:

The Calendar Scheduler example includes those translations, which is why changing its popup menu works when running it.
An empty Locale should use Locale.Current. However, the example explicitly switches to en-GB in its Opening event, overriding the initial setting. If you’re seeing an English locale in your own project with no such override, please share a small example so I can investigate that separately.
